Quick Overview: Check-In Instruction Availability via the API

The specialCheckInInstructions field in the HotelRoomAvailabilityResponse is same as the specialCheckInInstructions field in the HotelInformationResponse.

The checkInInstructions field in the HotelRoomAvailabilityResponse is the same information as the roomInformation in the HotelInformationResponse. You can use the Hotel Info API to pull the check-in instructions from the roomInformation field.

 

Check-In Instructions via Content Files

You can also construct the roomInformation/checkInInstructions content by combining the below individual content areas from their respective database files:

  • Know Before You Go – from WhatToExpectList file
  • Optional fee information – from PropertyFeeList file
  • Mandatory fee information – from PropertyMandatoryFeesList file
  • Renovation information – from the PropertyRenovationsList file

Note that the content above is not provided with section headings in the content files, so they would need to be added in to replicate the formatting in the roomInformation/checkInInstructions response field. See the example below for typical content and how it can be assembled into a single block, the same as the content would return as roomInformation via the API.
