Launch Requirements

When all development is complete, the final step before launching your site is to request a site review to obtain live access to the API.

Before you can monetize your site or make any booking purchases, your apiKey must be turned on and assigned with your own CID.

  • 1

Satisfy the list of requirements for each product you plan to sell BEFORE submitting your application for approval or launching your site.
  • 2

Do NOT request a site review until ALL checkpoints are completed.
  • 3

You can have each API implementation approved separately as you complete the development on each by applying for each separately.

Any sales using an undesired or improper CID cannot be changed or corrected.

Note that live bookings cannot be made in development/beta status. If your apiKey is not set for production access you will not be able to make any live bookings for customers. You must be approved for access by following the Launch Requirements and using your own CID and apiKey in all requests once your apiKey is activated. If you do not use your own CID and apiKey combination once activated, only static bookings are created. Static reservation tests return generic confirmation numbers such as CF#1234 and no reservation has been actually placed at the hotel.

When your site is reviewed for approval to launch:

We are particularly interested in assuring that visitors are accurately informed of proper purchasing details in order to make a solid and wise decision. They must be aware of any consequences to their choices prior to completing a purchase. Some items in the Checklists are required by our legal team, others are items that will reduce customer service issues and disputes, and eliminate cancellations with unhappy customers.

  • 1

The checklist is designed to promote logical and informative use of good sales practices.
  • 2

We perform searches on your site and compare results to those found on the same property with the same number of rooms and guests on Travelnow.com using your own CID.
  • 3

This verifies the accuracy of your site in data parsing, required pricing text, cancellation policies and other legal details outlined in each product checklist.

If you carefully follow and fulfill each requirement accurately, approval can be granted without requiring additional revisions. If items are missing or incorrect, you will be restricted from making live bookings until those items are addressed and resubmitted for review.

Since all items are clearly outlined with visual examples, delays are unnecessary and can be avoided by carefully following the checklist while programming your site.  If we're unable to verify any legally required item or text, or cannot find a required item on your site, the review will be failed which delays your launch.
